Every time I turn on my laptop I see an image.
A family of seven children, a mother and a father. All of them smiling. All of them squeezed in close. The young boy in the middle sits in a wheelchair. You can see his bony knees beneath the fabric of his pants. He is smiling most of all.
And on his shoulder rests the hand of the burly, smiling father.
I’ve never met any of these folks. I only know the name of the boy in the wheelchair: Peter. And yet I keep them on my computer screen so I remember……
